Social Bookmarking is not the only option, you can also join a forum and post the link to your website in your profile and get backlinks from high PR websites. You can also use social communities that allows you to make a free blogs and build some backlinks to your main site.

You can also get a link from their homepage if the site offers a “list of top commentators” in their homepage, so comment a lot so you’ll be in the list. Be careful when doing blog commenting, you should make sure that your comments are valuable and related to the post you are commenting so you’ll not get spammed.
• Be a Guest Contributor
  There are a lot of sites that accept guest posts as long as you have a good article. You can choose some good sites that you like and write about them and at the bottom, you can leave your link. You can choose those sites that are really good so the site will accept your guest post. Also, make sure to write formal email so you’ll have a bigger chance to be accepted.

  Article Marketing is another great way of building backlinks but you should be careful when submitting one same article to a lot of article directories because Google now penalizes duplicates so what can you do about it?
