How to Install Wordpress

Wordpress is one of the most popular Content Management System (CMS) because of its one feature of being seo-friendly. Because of that feature, a lot of people use this for their blogs. Installing wordpress is so easy that even people without programming or web design knowledge can install this by themselves. But, if ever you’ll need some help, here i’ll make a tutorial on how to install wordpress:

1. First, download the latest wordpress from the official site.
2. When download is finished, unzip the files using softwares like winzip, winrar, etc. After unzipping, upload all the contents of the wordpress folder to your domain. To upload files, you can use FTP softwares like SmartFTP, FileZilla, etc. I would recommend FileZilla because you can download it for free and very easy to use.
3. Create a database via CPanel and also a MySQL user with full privilege. Take note of your host, database name, database user, and password because we’ll be using it in the next step.
4. In your wordpress files, edit wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php and open the file. Change the host, database name, database user, and password which you just created.
5. Run the wordpress installation by accessing wp-admin/install.php using browsers like Firefox, IE, etc. If you placed wordpress files in your root directory then it should look like this: http://domain.com/wp-admin/install.php.

That’s all! now you have wordpress up and running.
