In-House SEO and Outsourced SEO Comparison

A lot of people have been wondering which is better and which of the two they should choose, In-House SEO or Outsourced SEO? So, which is more effective? I think that would depend with the situtation.
I’m an in-house SEO which is my part-time and also working in a SEO company as my full-time so I can somehow tell what are the advantages of both.
Advantages of In-House SEO:
- In-House SEO can focus more on you since they are not like Outsourced SEO that have a lot of other clients.
- You get to pay less so you have extra which you can use to buy some seo softwares to help automates things and make work faster.
- You get complete control.
Advantages of Outsourced SEO:
- Work can be done faster since they work as a team so if you’re kinda in a rush and willing to pay a big amount then this is the one for you.
- You no longer need to buy seo softwares because they already have their own tools for that.
- You get to have a better report since reports from Outsourced SEO are more detailed.
That’s just what I think and I might be wrong.
So, which do you think is better? In-House SEO or Outsourced SEO?

Great framing of the topic.
I would add the usual ‘it depends on the situation’ as I learned from my grandfather surprisingly when we played Scruples so many years ago.
One of the ways to look at the situation is where are you in SEO - is this the beginning of the project where having a team from very senior experts, as well as ‘grunts’ that can just plug and go do the work for your site? Or is this a more mature project where a single team member can manage working with management, as well getting the work done? Is this a relatively static site, or one that is getting a whole new redo? Looking at what resources are needed for the next 3-6 months may also shift whether you should use an outsourced team or inhouse team or a blended (usually more challenging, but may be worth the effort for long term strength in house).
