Wii’s New Super Mario Bros Tops with 10 Million Units Sold!
Are you a big fan of Mario? Well, here’s another great Mario game from Nintendo that you’ll surely enjoy.
Wii’s New Super Mario Bros has a chance of claiming to be the fastest selling single game. It reached over 10 million units sold worldwide.
In just eight weeks of availability, Nintendo’s multiplayer-oriented platformer exceeded 10 million units sold through January. It was debuted last November 12, 2009 in Australia and days later in North America and Europe. For Japan, it was last December 3.
Nintendo Wii topping with 60 million units sold worldwide, about 17 percent owns a copy of the new Super Mario Bros. US bought the most copies with 4.5 million, Japan and Europe follow with 3 million copies each.
Comparing to other Mario games, Super Smash Bros Brawl sold more or less 8.43 million of copies (March 2009) while Super Mario Galaxy sold 8 million copies (March 2008).
