Windows 7: Laptops with Longer Battery Life

Microsoft is pairing up with Intel to achieve a longer battery life for laptops. I’ve been hearing a lot of good feedback about Windows 7 and looks like it doesn’t end there.
This is great news for people that are using laptops and are having problem because of its battery life. I’m also having problem with the battery life of my laptop and definitely looking forward to Windows 7.
Two laptops were compared, one with Windows 7 and the other with Windows XP SP2. The laptop with Windows 7 lasted 1.4 hours longer compared to the other laptop with Windows XP SP2 while playing a DVD. Intel’s upcoming i5/i7 processors line was not used in this test yet.
It’ll be great if they will be able to achieve this since I hear a lot people complaining about the battery life of their laptops.
